Margaret Bellanceau,
mother of 9
PUTNAM — Margaret E. (Stewart) Bellanceau, 64, known to her friends as “Haggy Maggie, Mag Pie, and O’l lady, of School Street, died Oct. 18, 2012 in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Bellanceau. Born in 1948 in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late James and Amelia (Beking) Stewart.
Mrs. Bellanceau worked for the State of Connecticut as caretaker for the Department of Developmental Services. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch tickets, butterflies and shopping.
Margaret leaves her children Jeannette Griffith, Amelia Bellanceau, Tammie Bellanceau, Jo Bellanceau, Mark Bellanceau, Ralph Bellanceau (Melissa), Heidi Brousseau (Josh), Amanda Bellanceau, and Tina Rogachoff, (Billy); her sisters, Mary Felts (Troy), Sandra Donovan, and Connie Pierce; brother James Stewart (Sharon); her grandchildren, James Stewart, Jacob Griffith, Jolyn Griffith, Travis Thompson, Margaret Robinson, Joseph Bellanceau, Kaila Murphy, Nolan Garceau, Ariana Bellanceau, Amelia Brousseau, Adeline Brousseau, Ethan Key, Alivia Bellanceau, and Abigail Rogachoff; her great Grandchildren, Josie Stewart, Neila Stewart, Jalyn Chappell, and Kaden Chappell; her friends Leo Bellanceau (Lina), Jim Rapp (Loni), Ralph Reideman (Shirley), Clifford Welsh (May), and Joe Lamiotte.
The Funeral was Oct. 23 in Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
Theresa Krawiec,

N. GROSVENORDALE — Theresa (Choquette) Krawiec, 86, of Buckley Hill Road, died Oct. 18, 2012, in Regency Heights of Danielson. She was the wife of Peter Krawiec for 68 years. Born in 1926 in N. Grosvenordale, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Aura (Beaulac) Choquette. Mrs. Krawiec worked as a spinner for Matson Mills. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and fishing with her husband. Mrs. Krawiec was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 67 Ladies Auxiliary, and the former Vice President of the Eastern Connecticut Police Association.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her daughter, Nancy Strouse (Robert) of Putnam; her grandchildren Jennifer (Dennis) Pierce, Louis (Erin) Bunker, Bonnie Falke, Daniel Bunker, and Brian (Ashley) Falke; and her great grandchildren, Jasmine Falke, Ariana Bunker, Emmalyn Bunker, Zachary Bunker, Hannah Pierce, Alliea Falke, and Justin Falke. She was predeceased by her daughter Jo Ann Pavone; her brothers, Lionel and Philip Choquette; and her sister Alice Smith.
The Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 22 in St. Joseph Church, N. Grosvenordale, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations: St. Joseph School, 26 North Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale.
Patricia Kemp,

POMFRET — Patricia L. (Brodeur) Kemp, 73, died Oct. 19, 2012, at Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Webster.
Her husband, Herbert H. Kemp I, died Sept. 7, 1997.
She was born in Willimantic, daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Maheu) Brodeur and lived in Pomfret most of her life. She was employed for many years at Anchor Glass. She enjoyed ceramics, bead work, crocheting, knitting, sewing and motorcycles.
She leaves three sons, Herbert H. Kemp II of Pomfret, Andrew J.J. Kemp III of Brooklyn, and Stanley E.J. Kemp of Pomfret; one brother, Daniel Brodeur of Florida; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ernest A. Brodeur Kemp.
A Celebration of Life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at the family residence, 54 Rich Road, Pomfret. Donations: Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, Webster.
Denise E. Russell
BROOKLYN — Denise E. (Prescott) Russell, 56, died Oct. 17, 2012, at Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam.
Her husband, Leon Russell Sr. died in 2000.
Denise was born in New York and lived in the Brooklyn-Danielson area most of her life. She loved watching Shirley Temple movies, playing cards and watching television.
She leaves a son, Leon Russell Jr. of Stafford Springs; two daughters, Laura Russell of Putnam and Audrey Russell of E. Hartford; one brother.

John R. Wiggin
EASTFORD — John Rodney Wiggin, 68, of Eastford, died Sept. 12, 2012.
Born Jan. 5, 1944, in Concord, N.H., John, more often called “Jack”, graduated from Conard High School in W. Hartford, Class of ’62. He attended UConn for one semester before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1967. During his service, he attended the funeral ceremony for President John F. Kennedy, and served on an aircraft carrier from 1963-67. In 1968 he married Susan Evans, and they were married for 44 years. He was a lover of music, and played the trombone with the CT Governor’s Footguard Band for several years during the 1970s, attending the Inaugural Ball for Governor Ella Grasso in 1975 and marching in countless parades. He also played trombone in a number of regional funk/soul/Motown/R & B bands during the late ‘60s and ‘70s including Thundermug, North Atlantic Syndicate of Soul, and SIN.
During his life Jack worked in construction, managed a City Beverage in Killingly for 25 years, and was an entrepreneur and business owner throughout his life, owning Soda City, Jack’s Wiener Wagon, and Jack’s Draft, servicing dozens of restaurants and bars throughout eastern CT for the last 15 years.
“Dad”, “Pa Wiggin”, “Papa” was deeply fulfilled while in the comfort of his acreage bordering the Natchaug River and State Forest. He loved to spend time in the barn raising chickens, goats, rabbits, turkeys, a pig and a pony, or down in the field and by the river, mowing, gardening, swimming, or just gazing about the wonders of nature.
He is leaves his wife, Susan; a daughter Nicole Wiggin of Eastford; a son Jason Wiggin (Barbara) of Manchester; three granddaughters, Zoe, Hannah and Jillian; brother Andrew Wiggin of Wilton; and two sisters, Karen McNey of Granby, and Lucile (Wiggin) Forcier of Stoddard, N.H. He was. predeceased by son Jeffrey Wiggin.
