Giving Tree
WOODSTOCK --- The town is sponsoring a Giving Tree to benefit Woodstock senior citizens in need through Dec. 14, at the Town Hall. Citizens interested in helping out their neighbors should stop by the Town Hall lobby and select an ornament or two, listing gift ideas. 928-0208 x336.

'Christmas Carol'
PUTNAM --- The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse on Front Street (Rt. 44) will present "A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley" at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 16 and 23. $17 for adults; $14 for seniors and students. Bring nonperishable food item and/or hanging new mittens, gloves, hats and scarves on the Mitten Tree in the Bradley theater lobby. They will be donated to the Putnam Family Resource Center. 928-7887.
Pot Luck

EASTFORD --- The Congregational Church of Eastford and Eastford Baptist Church invite all to a Community Carol Sing at the Ivy Glenn at 6 p.m. followed by refreshments at the Congregational Church. Bring new hats, scarves, mittens, or gloves for those in need. In case of rain, caroling will be indoors at the Congregational Church, 8 Church Rd.
