 A certified list of Democratic party-endorsed candidates for the Town of Putnam for election as Justice of the Peace will be on file in my office at 200 School Street, Putnam, CT 06260, and copies thereof will be available for public distribution.
A certified list of Democratic party-endorsed candidate(s) for the Town of Putnam for election as Registrar of Voters will be on file with the Office of the Secretary of the State, 165 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, and copies thereof will be available for public distribution.
A Primary will be held August 13, 2024, if the required primary petition(s) for opposition candidate(s) is filed, pursuant to Sections 9-382 to 9-450 of the Connecticut General Statutes, not later than 4:00 p.m. on June 11, 2024.  Petition forms, instructions and information concerning the procedure for filing of opposing candidacies, including schedules, may be obtained from Patricia Fondelheit, Democratic Registrar of Voters, 200 School Street, Putnam, CT 06260.

The first installment of taxes, due to the Town of Putnam, Special Service District, East Putnam Fire District and West Putnam District on the Grand List of October 1, 2023, is due and payable on July 1, 2024, through August 1, 2024.
TO AVOID INTEREST CHARGES, MAIL MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 1, 2024
Payments made after the last day to pay without penalty will be subject to an interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $2.00 minimum per Town and $2.00 per Special Service District, East Putnam Fire District and West Putnam District (where applicable), whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute, Sec. 12-146.
Online payments can be made at the Town of Putnam website - www.putnamct.us after July 1, 2024.
We are now located at 200 School Street at the new Municipal Complex.  For your convenience, feel free to use our drop box option located outside the Putnam Town Hall on the left hand side of the building.

8:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. Thursday
8 a.m. through 1 p.m. Friday
Tax Office Window closes 15 minutes prior to Town Hall daily closure. The Town Hall Offices will be closed July 4, 2024.
