POMFRET --- The Connecticut Audubon Society at Pomfret will present “Printmaking with Nature” through May 15 at the Grassland Bird Conservation Center on Day Road. Reception and artist demo from 2 to 4 p.m. 860-928-4948.

Clean Up
POMFRET --- The Pomfret Green Team will celebrate Earth Day with a Roadside trash clean up April 20. The Green Team will set up from 8 to 11 a.m. at Pomfret Community School to hand out bags, orange vests and if needed a road cleanup assignment. Free coffee and donuts. Residents are asked to pick up. Put trash into a green bag and recyclables (plastic, glass, and cans) into a clear bag. The filled bags can be left at a convenient road corner and the Pomfret DPW will pick them up on the following Monday.
Crystal Pond Clean Up

POMFRET --- The Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp Camper Scamper 5K Race/Walk and 1 Mile Kid Run will begin with registration at 8 a.m. Kids Race at 9:30, Adult Race at 10, walkers start immediately after runners. Beautification Day
PUTNAM --- The annual Beautification Day will begin with an 8:30 a.m. gathering in Rotary Park to receive cleaning assignments. Return to rotary Park at 11 a.m. for Volunteer Appreciation Lunch. Rain date is May 4. All welcome and needed.
Fund-raiser Dinner
POMFRET --- Relay For Life Chicken Cordon Bleu Dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Pomfret Community School to benefit American Cancer Society. $20 for adults, $10 for children under 10, children 4 and under eat free (chicken tenders). 860-974-1202.

DANIELSON --- Pet Pals Northeast, a local animal welfare organization, is holding a low cost rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Quinebaug Valley Veterinary Hospital on Rt. 12. No appointment necessary. $12 cash per animal. All animals must be on a leash or in a secured carrier. If available, bring prior proof of rabies vaccination. 860-317-1720.
