POMFRET — The Children at Rectory School’s (CARe) program has just received another five-year reaccreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)! The long, detailed process resulted in exceptional scores: In the categories of Relationships, Assessment, Health, Teachers, Families, Community Relationships, Leadership, and Management, they scored 100+, and in Teaching and Physical Environment they scored 96.
The reaccreditation letter said, “The administration, teaching staff, and families of Children at Rectory are all to be congratulated for continuing to uphold the mark of quality represented by the NAEYC Accreditation system. On behalf of NAEYC, and specifically the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation, I commend your program’s outstanding efforts in renewing NAEYC Accreditation.” Erin Hayden is the director, and there is a staff of six teachers for their program for the young children.
