Northeast Communities Against Substance Abuse (NECASA) has launched a newly enhanced website. The website, www.necasaonline.org , was re-designed by Web Solutions of Meriden. The enhanced site will allow NECASA to post videos, such as the “consequences” 30 second public service announcement on the consequences of providing alcohol to minors. It will also allow the region’s residents to nominate individuals for NECASA’s Volunteer with Youth Awards (adult volunteers who do outstanding work with youth) and the Judith Nilan Award for Community Service to Youth (School Personnel who promote positive youth development with Youth).
NECASA’s website also has information for youth, parents and community members on the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse, as well as links to other sites which can provide further information.
NECASA is the 21-town regional substance abuse action council funded by the Connecticut Department f Mental Health and Addiction Services, municipal contributions, foundations and private donations.
