New selectman
POMFRET — Last week the Pomfret Board of Selectmen accepted selectman Jim Rivers’ resignation with regret. His new job responsibilities have become much greater over the past month as the company he works for has expanded very rapidly said Maureen Nicholson, first selectman. The seat was filled with Nicholson’s running mate for November, Barry Jessurun, Vanilla Bean Cafe owner. Nicholson said, “I am very excited to have Barry as a member of the Board of Selectmen and look forward to running with him in November.”
