Veterans park vandalized, 2 charged
PUTNAM — July 27 Putnam Police charged two Putnam residents with vandalizing property at the Veterans Memorial Park near the intersection of Church and Bridge streets.
Arrested were: John Frazier , 18, Providence Street, Putnam: interference with a war or veterans memorial or monument, third-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy; and Gage Morin, 18, Liberty Highway, Putnam: interference with a war or veterans memorial or monument, conspiracy. Police said they were involved in burning an American flag that was part of the Veterans Memorial.
