PUTNAM — The Interfaith Human Services of Putnam (IHSP) Board of Directors welcomed new member Lori Wajer recently.
A graduate of Putnam High School and Quinebaug Valley Community College, Wajer was born and raised in Putnam, moving to Woodstock after her marriage. She’s a familiar face in town – particularly at Woodstock Academy, where she’s worked for 33 years.
A dedicated, community-minded citizen, Wajer is also well-known for her volunteer work. Wajer serves on many Day Kimball Hospital committees, including the DKH Development Committee, Susan Chilkott Memorial Scholarship Committee, Friends of Hospice Committee, and the Women’s Board. Additionally, Wajer is president of the St. Mary’s League of Catholic Women and has been a volunteer at Interfaith of Human Services for more than 15 years.
“Daily Bread has always had a very special place in my heart,” Wajer said. “My faith and family have always taught me that you must give back and you are put on this earth to serve …I am honored and humbled to be able to serve on [IHSP’s] board of directors.”
