The Sarah Williams Danielson Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution has volunteered to conduct Wreaths across America ™ ceremonies. The ceremonies are held at noon Dec. 14.
The chapter volunteers will be at: the Brooklyn Veterans Monument, Route 169, Brooklyn; Killingly Veterans Monument, Davis Park, Route 12, Danielson; Plainfield Veterans Monument, Community Avenue, Plainfield; Pomfret Veterans Monument, Intersection of Route 44 and 97, Pomfret; Scotland Veterans Monument, Route 14, Scotland; Thompson Veterans Monument, Town Common, Route 193, Thompson; Woodstock Veterans Monument, Town Common, Route 169, Woodstock.
DAR members will place wreaths at each monument to remember and honor the sacrifices of all Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and POW/MIA. These wreaths are placed on these monuments for all of us to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation.
