GROTON — Applications are now available for Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s Community Scholarship Program.
Six student members will be chosen and each will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship at Charter Oak’s 75th Annual Meeting in April 2014. Scholarship applicants must be well-rounded student members who have made it a priority to give back to their communities while excelling in academics and extracurricular activities. Applicants must also attend an accredited institution of higher education in Fall 2014.
The application and guidelines can be found on Charter Oak’s website, CharterOak.org/community/scholarships. Completed applications are due no later than Monday, March 3, 2014.
Charter Oak’s Scholarship Program has awarded more than $115,000 in scholarships to local students since 2000. Last year’s recipients included students from Killingly High School, Robert E. Fitch Senior High School, Tourtellotte Memorial High School, Pomfret School, UConn – Avery Point, and East Lyme High School.
