PUTNAM — Lori Bannister, senior vice president and compliance officer of Putnam Bank, was awarded the President’s Award.
Thomas A. Borner, president and CEO of Putnam Bank, said the award is given to an employee who exemplifies unwavering commitment and dedication to the bank and community. 
Bannister was selected this year to receive this honor.  Borner said, “Lori spends countless hours fulfilling the needs of the bank, she has played a pivotal role in its success and growth and has been instrumental in addressing the regulatory challenges facing community banks like ours."
Bannister oversees the bank’s compliance and risk programs, including information security. She is currently a member of the Day Kimball Hospital Women’s Board and volunteers  for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and the Deary Memorial Road Race. She joined Putnam Bank in 2007 and has more than 30 years of banking experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Eastern Connecticut State University.   
She said, “This award is an extreme honor and I cannot express enough of my appreciation, not only for Tom’s continued support, but the support of the Board Members, management and the bank staff. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Putnam Bank team and for this award.”
