Book Talk

CANTERBURY --- The Friends of the Canterbury Library will host a Book Talk and Signing at 7 p.m. in the library. The author will be Woodstock’s Patrick McKenna Lynch Smith who will be discussing his book, “Leaving the Life: A True Story of Love, Loss, and Gratitude.” Refreshments follow. All welcome. Free.

 

Fun Run

W. THOMPSON --- The West Thompson Dam Fun Run has started and will run through Sept. 17 on Wednesdays starting at the West Thompson Dam entrance on Ravenelle Road. Starts at 6:15 p.m. Distance is 3.1 and 1.44 miles. Fun Run or walk is free and open to all. For info: mayer.robert @sbcglobal.net. 

 

Electrical Safety

THOMPSON --- The Marianapolis Drama Club will present “Once Upon a Mattress at 7 p.m. May 15 and 16 and at 4 p.m. May 18. Admission is free but reservations are recommended. 923-9565 for reservations.

Polish Supper

N. GROSVENORDALE --- The Emanuel Lutheran Church will hold a sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Included will be plants, books, baked goods and forgotten treasurers.

History Program

PUTNAM --- The Aspinock Historical Society of Putnam will present a history of St Mary of the Visitation Parish  with talk and photos, at 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A  limited supply of copies of the presentation will be available for purchase, and if needed, orders taken for additional copies.
