Fun Run
W. THOMPSON --- The West Thompson Dam Fun Run has started and will run through Sept. 17 on Wednesdays starting at the West Thompson Dam entrance on Ravenelle Road. Starts at 6:15 p.m. Distance is 3.1 and 1.44 miles. Fun Run or walk is free and open to all. For info: mayer.robert @sbcglobal.net.

DANIELSON --- The Greek Festival sponsored by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Water Street will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 7 and from noon to 6 p.m. June 8. Free admission.
Trails Day
THOMPSON --- Connecticut Trails Day will be held in Thompson today when Thompson hosts a Trail Day Hike, sponsored by Thompson Trails Committee and Thompson Recreation. Enjoy a walk to the Tri-State Marker - the place where Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island meet. See a pre-colonial stone chamber and an arch tunnel and visit the site of the Great Dec. 4, 1891 East Thompson Train Wreck and the Southbridge local turnaround. The walk is approximately 2 miles of moderate difficulty and runs from 10 a.m. to noon. In the event of rain, this event is cancelled.
