PUTNAM — John N. Graham, MD, has been named vice president for medical affairs/quality and chief medical officer at Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH).
Robert E. Smanik, FACHE, DKH president and CEO said, “John brings a critical perspective to the Day Kimball senior management team,” said Smanik. “His outstanding reputation as an urologist and commitment to the delivery of high quality care, coupled with decades of  experience operating his medical practice in northeast Connecticut, provides a voice that bridges the divide between the delivery of healthcare and the business of healthcare. 
Dr. Graham is responsible for serving as the liaison between the DKH medical staff and executive staff within the DKH system of care. He oversees the medical staff office, quality improvement/risk management department, medical records department, and the medical staff directors, of 11 areas of care. 
Dr. Graham is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Hartford Hospital, and a urology residency at UConn Health Center. He is board certified in urology, and a recipient of awards.

A resident of Pomfret, Dr. Graham and his wife, Joan, have five children.
