Fun Run
W. THOMPSON --- The West Thompson Dam Fun Run has started and will run through Sept. 17 on Wednesdays starting at the West Thompson Dam entrance on Ravenelle Road. Starts at 6:15 p.m. Distance is 3.1 and 1.44 miles. Fun Run or walk is free and open to all. For info: mayer.robert @sbcglobal.net.

Beekeeper
PUTNAM --- Jordan Stern, a Board Member of the Eastern Beekeepers Association, will present "The Hows & Whys of Bees" at the Earth Day is Every Day celebration at 6:30 p.m. at the Putnam Science Academy. The presentation will be followed by 3 short videos on growing your own food & composting. The celebration is sponsored by the Greater Putnam Interfaith Council & is free & open to the public. However, monetary & food donations will be accepted.

Organ Recital
PUTNAM --- The Congregational Church of Putnam will present an organ recital featuring Elder Vladimir Orlov, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ashford, at 7 p.m.  Reception follows. Freewill offering.

POMFRET --- The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Pomfret will present "Air and Water, Space and Time," a drawings exhibit by George Jacobi, through Aug. 15 at the Grassland Bird Conservation Center on Day Road. Concert, Frog Jump
EASTFORD --- The Congregational Church of Eastford on Church Road will present its annual summer band concert with the East Woodstock cornet Band at 6 p.m. Registration for the frog jumping is at 5:30 and events begin at 6. If you don’t have a frog, loaners will be available. Everything is free. All welcome.
