PUTNAM — During the Oct. 3 First Friday explore the art  created by Julie Watt and students of the Visual Arts Exploration Class at the Complex Performing and Creative Arts Center.  It can be seen on Front Street on the storefront across from the Bradley Playhouse
Project Concept #1:   Peace  •  Love  •  Unity  •  Community     2012
Julie Watt explains “Our world is brought together by those close to us; those in close proximity and those brought to us within our own families.  This world travels through paths that twist and turn and that lead us down roads which allow us to grow individually and collectively as a community.  We travel together down these paths, much as streets in a small town, to further our communities and to unite in ways that push us as human beings, to push us to become better human beings.  This yearning to join together, to better our community is fostered through heritage, through our families and their lineage.  Joining together as pieces of a puzzle, we are linked by our “families” and fit together as collective members of a community.  Of this community.  This yearning and teaching and learning through generations is what makes a community whole and strong.  Community is brought together through love, peace and unity… unity in coming together to better ourselves and our families.  And our neighbor’s family.  And their neighbor’s family.  Working together, we can become a community of richness and wholeness, of vast differences where love and peace of youth join and become richness and depth of wisdom and age.  Together we can unify to educate our children and help and support the elderly.  Together we can be strength for our neighbor.  Together we can become one as a community tied in richness of peace, love and unity.  Community through unity.”
