DANIELSON --- The QVCC Cultural Programming Committee, English Department, Fine Arts Department, in collaboration with the Connecticut Poetry Circuit, will present poet Aracelis Girmay reading from “Waiting for Yoko Spoken Word Series” from 6 to 9:25 p.m.  in the Spirol Gallery at QVCC. POMFRET --- A concert in memory of Patrick Wood (1982-2006) will be held at 2 p.m. at the Clark Chapel at Pomfret School. Food Drive

WOODSTOCK --- The town of Woodstock urges residents to donate nonperishable food items or make a monetary donation toward fuel assistance when they go to the town hall to vote from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

DANIELSON ---  Quinebaug Valley Community College will hold its annual Veterans’ Day ceremony at 2 p.m. at the college’s Veterans’ Garden on the Danielson Campus. The ceremony will include the dedication of the new bricks each honoring a veteran.
