PSA to host Northeast Prep Tourney

Basketball fans and junkies are in for a rare treat on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5 when the Putnam Science Academy Mustangs will host the Northeast Prep Tournament on the school’s campus on Maple Street.  The tourney will feature Redemption Christian Academy of Northfield, Mass., Mount Zion Prep of Maryland and Rise Academy of Philadelphia in addition to the hosts.   

The tourney opens on Friday at 5 p.m. with Redemption Christian tapping off against Mount Zion and the Mustangs playing Rise Academy at 7.  The two losing teams will square off in the consolation contest at noon on Saturday followed by the championship contest at 2 p.m.
