DAYVILLE — After extensive preparation, United Services has resumed office visits for adult, child and family mental health and substance abuse services at its clinical locations in Dayville and Mansfield.
An essential health care provider, United Services has remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic and had been providing the majority of its services via telehealth for the last several months. The agency will continue to offer telehealth services, but for clients who would prefer an in-person visit, new protocols and measures will ensure a safe office appointment.
“If you are ready to return to our offices, we are ready to see you safely,” said Diane L. Manning, president/CEO of United Services. “Things may look a little different at first, but the personal connection with our clinicians and prescribers remains the same.”
The stress of the pandemic and its disruptions to our daily lives continue to impact everyone, especially children, Manning said.
“For children it is an especially confusing time, as they may not fully understand the situation,” Manning said. “But they know that things have changed and they may be struggling to adapt to this new normal.”
United Services’ Child Guidance Clinic can help children and families cope with these significant changes in a healthy way.
United Services continues to follow guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Residents can schedule an in office visits or a telehealth appointment for individual and family therapy sessions, intakes, medication evaluations and medication checks.
