Toy Collection
WOODSTOCK/N. GROSVENORDALE --- All the Woodstock fire departments and Community Fire Station 81 will hold their 15th annual Toy Collection from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the WVFA station on Rt. 169 and the Community Fire Station on Riverside Drive. Bring a new unwrapped toy or a donation. Toys for all ages needed – infant to teen. Benefits local families.
Books on Wheels
TEEG’s Youth Programs Team will be all around NE CT today with new books for kids of all ages (thanks to The Scripps Family Fund for Education and the Arts). Look for the TEEG Book Mobile outside the following locations today: 10-10:30, Riverside Park, N. Grosvenordale; 11-11:30, Thompson Town Common; 12:15-12:45, visiting families in Putnam; 1:15-1:45, Pomfret Community School; 2:15-2:45, Windham-Tolland 4H Camp; 3:15-3:45, Woodstock Town Hall.

Elks Thanksgiving
PUTNAM --- Today is the RSVP deadline for the seventh annual Putnam Lodge of Elks free Thanksgiving Dinner for those who may be alone for the holiday --- families, community elders and veterans. The dinner will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Lodge and will be COVID compliant. Last year about 330 meals were served/delivered. 860-928-3901.

Dazzle Parade
PUTNAM --- The annual Holiday Dazzle Light Parade will be a reverse parade this year at Murphy Park. Rain date is Dec. 6. Spectators will be doing the moving, not the floats, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Consider brining a donation of food or money to the northeastern Connecticut food pantries.

THOMPSON ---Wee Wander with Wyndham Land Trust from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the “Robbins Five Mile River Ramble.” The hike will be held at the Robbins Preserve.
