JEWETT CITY — America Saves Week 2021 is scheduled for Feb. 22 – Feb. 26 and Jewett City Savings Bank is encouraging its community to take a moment to focus on the importance of emergency savings and saving automatically, in an effort to better prepare Americans for the unexpected.
As part of America Saves Week, Jewett City Savings Bank will offer new savings accounts and waive the minimum balance service fee for six months, giving consumers time to achieve the minimum balance by saving just $8 per week. Those opening a new savings account for a minor will receive a free piggy bank. New accounts can be opened at any Jewett City Savings Bank location.
Jewett City Savings Bank is a mutual savings bank operating full-service offices in Jewett City, Brooklyn, Dayville, Pawcatuck, Plainfield, Preston, and Putnam with online banking services at JCSBank.com.
“With so many Americans still reeling from the financial crisis caused by coronavirus, America Saves Week is a great time to take a look at your finances, recognize where you are currently, where you want to be, and start making a plan to get there— even if it’s just a little bit at a time,” said Kevin Merchant, President and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank.
