JEWETT CITY — Christian Sarantopoulos of Pomfret Center was recently elected as corporator of Jewett City Savings Bank.
He is a practicing attorney and owner of the law firm of Sarantopoulos & Sarantopoulos, LLC in Danielson.
He is a member and former director of the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Killingly Business Association. In addition, he is the current president and serves on the board of Westcott Wilcox Residential Housing, Inc., as well as serving on the boards of Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation and Westfield Cemetery Association. He is also a corporator of Day Kimball Hospital and served on the DKH Development Board for 10 years.
In his spare time, he has been a basketball referee for more than 25 years and is on the board of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc. (IAABO) Connecticut State Board 5 and serves as secretary-treasurer of the Northeast CT IAABO Board 35.
A graduate of Killingly High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and his Juris Doctorate from UConn School of Law. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar, Windham County Bar, and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Associations and is a member agent of the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company. He also was elected to the Killingly Town Council in 2001 where he held the position of chair and served as fiscal chair on the Killingly Board of Education.
