PUTNAM The Putnam Police Department is seeking information on the failed attempt to steal the ATM machine from the Cumberland Farms on Woodstock Avenue around 2:18 a.m. June 11.
Putnam Police Captain Justin Lussier said an active burglar alarm came in and officers found an unsecured door and nobody was found inside.
The surveillance video showed a suspect vehicle backed up to the front entrance of the store and three suspects dressed in dark clothing. One pried the front door open with a crowbar. Another attempted to tie a rope around the ATM machine but failed. The three drove away with nothing stolen.
The vehicle appears to be a gray Ram 1500 extended-cab pickup truck with black trim along the bottom, black rims, tinted windows, and a tonneau cover and appears to have a Connecticut plate.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Mark Boulanger of the Putnam Police Department at 860-928-6565. Tips can also be called in to 860-963-0000. Tips can also be submitted through our website at www.putnampolice.com.
