Boxcar to open soon;
volunteers needed
PUTNAM — The Gertrude Warner Boxcar Museum is slated to open soon. Oak flooring will be installed this week and volunteers are needed, both to help put in the floor and to work at the museum when it opens.
The museum is looking for volunteers to work 2.5 hours a month from August to October. Volunteers are needed for one shift per month from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Training provided. Call Renee at 860-974-0325.
