Pedestrian cited
PUTNAM — A Woodstock Avenue resident was cited after a pedestrian vs car accident June 15, according to the Putnam Police Department Captain Justin Lussier.
The Putnam Police Department responded to a one-vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred near the area of 48 Woodstock Ave.
Police said the pedestrian, Greg J. Raymond, 37, of Woodstock Avenue ran into the road from a driveway along the eastbound shoulder area of Woodstock Avenue and was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound. The vehicle, a 2003 Honda Accord, was driven by Christina I. Woodward, 27, of Rt. 169 in Woodstock.
Raymond was cited for reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian.
Woodward’s vehicle sustained damage to the hood and windshield area and was towed from the scene. Raymond was taken to Day Kimball Hospital for evaluation of minor injuries by Putnam EMS.
