One-of-a-kind exhibit open
PUTNAM — A one-of-a-kind show by artist Laura Tedeschi is currently on display at The Corridor Gallery in the Putnam Municipal Complex.
Titled “AFTERLIFE: Reimagining 18th Century Grave Carvings,” her pastels and paintings are reinterpretations of local 18th-century grave carvings in vibrant colors.
A reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at the gallery located at 200 School St. in Putnam. The event is free and will feature the chance to speak to the artist about her process along with a presentation by historian Keegan Day, researcher for Pomfret’s
“Written in Stone” Project; period music by Fiddles & Friends; and free refreshments.
The show is sponsored by the Putnam Arts Council. Normal Municipal Complex operating hours: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The exhibit runs through Dec. 31.
