Info needed; 1 attacked with machetes
PUTNAM — The Putnam Police Department is looking for information on an April 5 report of two men attacking a man with machetes in the area of Smith and Daniels streets.
Police said the suspects are a white male and a black male. The man who was attacked told police the suspects struck at his ankles with the machetes resulting in serious but non-life-threatening injuries and then stole various items from the victim.
Putnam EMS took the victim to Day Kimball Hospital where he was later transferred to Hartford Hospital for treatment.
Putnam police said a K-9 team from the Norwich Police Department was unsuccessful in tracking the suspects.
