The Town of Putnam Planning Commission will hold a meeting on January 28, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT.  A public hearing will be held on the following:

Application #2013-01: Steven & Tanya Barry — Request for a 2-lot re-subdivision for property located at 271 Killingly Avenue. Town Assessor’s Map 38, Lot 88. Zoned R-40 of 3.90 +/- acres.

Services District
Accepting Bids
The Putnam Special Services District is accepting sealed bids for the following equipment:
Fifteen (15) - Level IIIA tactical ballistic entry body armor. The product must be compliant with NU, DEA and FBI protocols. Each set must include throat, groin and biceps protection, as well as ID and pouch choices. Pricing shall include both front and back Level III ceramic plates.
Fifteen (15) - Level IIIA tactical ballistic helmets. The product shall include adjustable four-point retention strap system and soft chin cup.
Interested bidders must provide onsite custom measurements and fitting. Bids ,which are sealed and marked "Body Armor," will be accepted at Putnam Police Headquarters  on Church Street, Putnam, until 3 p.m. on Monday, February 11th, 2013. Bids will be opened at the regular meeting of the Putnam Special Services District at 7 p.m. Monday, February 11th, 2013. The Putnam Special Services District Authority reserves the right to reject any and all submitted bids.

Legal Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town and Fire District of Pomfret that the Supplemental Motor Vehicle and Second Installment of Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills on the Grand List of October 1, 2011, are DUE AND PAYABLE January 1, 2013.
The last day to pay without penalty is February 1, 2013.  Interest will be charged at 18% annually (1.5% per month) on all delinquent payments postmarked February 2, 2013 or later.
Make all checks payable to Pomfret Tax Collector and mail to:  Tax Collector at 5 Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259.  If a receipt is desired, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.  For more information or to pay online, go to www.pomfretct.org.  
January Tax Office Hours are:  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that a certified copy of the audit of the Pomfret Fire District for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012, prepared by Daniel R. Santos, CPA, LLC, 179B Hartford Pike, Dayville, Connecticut 06241, was filed in the Office of the Town Clerk of Pomfret on January 15, 2013.  In compliance with the requirements of section 7-394 of the Connecticut Statutes, said audit is on file for public inspection in said office at Five Haven Road, Pomfret Center, Connecticut.
