14U – May 16
Game 1
Cougars 1 Warriors Baseball 0
Danny Murphy got his 3rd win in his 2nd complete game outing for the Cougars. Murphy struck out 11 and allowed only 1 hit. Robert Newton walked to lead off the third, stole second and Murphy hit an RBI single for the only run of the game.
Game 2
Cougars 7 Warriors Baseball 3
In game 2, The Cougars placed 10 hits around the field. Jesse Alexander doubled twice, Will Bourgeois went 2 for 2 with 4 RBI. Brian Kemp and Danny Murphy both had a pair of singles. Tyler Stucke was awarded the win, with one run scored in 5 innings. Bourgeois closed the game with 4 strikeouts in 2 innings.
The 14U team’s record is now 8-6 overall and 6-2 in their division.
The 14U Cougars play against Tri-Valley Phantoms at 2 p.m. May 22 at Woodstock Middle School.
