Police Association Pirates
(2 wins 3 Losses, 6-5 overall)
The week started with a 6-5 loss for the Pirates to the Brooklyn Bulls. Zach Cutler has hit mid season form hitting every pitch offered, Jacob Straub went 2-2, Ryan Whitehouse was 2-3 with a run; Mitchell Barylski made a put out from right field. Jakob Prescott, Noah Mailloux, Josh Allard and Alex Morowski all scored. Jon Luc Cournoyer and Brevon Harmon pitched for the Pirates. The Pirates finished the week with an 8-5 loss to the Brooklyn Predators. Mitchell Barylski made the defensive play of the game with a huge stop at third and put out at first. Angelo Desalvio hit a double off the outfield fence starting a late rally. Josh Allard went 1-3, Jon Luc Cornouyer was 2-3, Brevon Harmon hit 2-2 and Scott Davagian went 2-4 and all scored runs. Zach Cutler pitched for the Pirates and held the Brooklyn boys to 5 runs until he was relieved by a host of other pitchers.
Putnam Vision Center Red Sox
(1 Win 4 Losses, 5-5 overall)
The Red Sox were victims of bad weather and managed to complete only one game last week beating the Woodstock A’s 7-4. They were led by Nicholas Foucault who pitched well for the Red Sox holding the Woodstock team to a single run. He was relieved by Kristian Burke in the 3rd inning. Burke was throwing strikes but a series of errors let the A’s score a handful of runs. Kyle Ciquera hit his 3rd homerun of the season with a towering shot to right field. Nathan Tozzi had a great game behind the plate and scored two runs. Reed Hopkins hit a single and Aiden Ciquera went 3-3.
Chase Graphics Dodgers
(4 Wins 2 Losses, 10-2 overall)
The Dodgers had three games on consecutive nights last week. They rose to the occasion winning all three games. On the 17th Cole Andersen was dominant in a 12-0 complete game shutout over the Brooklyn Bulls striking out 5 Brooklyn batters. Shawn Audet hit 3-4 with two doubles and Cole got a big lift from Kyle Loomis and Steven Dakai who hit back to back homeruns. Jeremee Perez went 2-3 and scored a run.On the 18th the Dodgers traveled to Woodstock and shutout the Red Sox 8-0 in a rain shortened game. Jacob Guertin was cruising on the mound until the ump called the game. Dakai and Loomis hit back to back home runs for the second consecutive game and Conor Quinn earned the game ball by going 1-1 with 2 walks and a run. On the 19th the Woodstock Braves visited Murphy Park and were defeated 20-1 by the Dodgers. Kyle Loomis and Jay Hassett combined on the mound for the win. Jacob Guertin went 3-3 with two doubles and a triple. Shawn Audet went 3-3 with a triple and two runs. Cole Andersen was 1-1,Andy Simmons scored a run;Steven Dakai went 2-2 and scored four runs. Steven Shippee,Conor Quinn, Kyle Moore and Jeremee Perez all scored for Putnam.
