PUTNAM --- Day Kimball Healthcare announces that Amanda Clarke, registered technologist of radiology, (RTR) in the Diagnostic Imaging Department is Day Kimball Hospital’s August Employee of the Month.
Joining the organization in 2001 as a receptionist in Diagnostic Imaging, Clarke went to school at Quinebaug Valley Community College to earn her associate’s degree in science and liberal arts while working full time. She enjoyed working in the department so much that she later decided to become an RTR and went on to graduate from Windham Hospital in 2008 with her certification.
Today, Clarke’s daily responsibilities include performing X-rays in the department and in patient rooms and assisting in other areas of the hospital as needed.
A lifelong resident of Putnam, Clarke enjoys fishing, camping and being outdoors.
