PUTNAM --- Matulaitis Nursing Home  hosted a Dedication Ceremony recently for their newly built Rehabilitation Wing named for Sister Aloysa. The Sister Aloysa Care Center has newly built rooms, most of which are private, each with a private bathroom and handicapped-accessible shower. There are several rooms which are semi-private to accommodate couples, siblings and those that prefer a double room. Each room provides complete comfort for those undergoing rehabilitation, as it is equipped with a flat screen TV, WiFi service and completely new furnishings. A therapy center as well as recreation room are located right on the floor providing a full spectrum of rehab services
Sister Aloysa, for whom the wing was named, made great contributions of service during her lifetime. She was an initiator of Matulaitis Nursing Home.
Bishop Paul Baltakis, OFM, led attendees, which included board members, residents, staff, and other guests from the community in prayer, which culminated in his blessing each room. Joining Bishop Baltakis was the reverends Izydor Sadauskas and Arvydas Peter Zygas.
