Westview hosts
health program
DAYVILLE --- Nearly 65 people were motivated and empowered at Westview Health Care Center’s informative health education program entitled “An Ounce of Prevention: Plans For Healthy Aging,”  recently.
The evening was led by Dr. Joseph J. Botta MD of Botta and Associates LLC, and included information and discussion regarding practicing a healthy lifestyle.
Topics included regular physical activity, healthy eating, reducing stress and developing a social plan that will keep your mind active and engaged as your body ages.
“Seeing so many faces in attendance solidifies that most everyone is seeking out the fabled “fountain of youth” and with a strong level of motivation and a good knowledge base of what fights the aging process most everyone has the ability to live a healthier lifestyle,” said Dr. Botta.
“This is an important topic to promote and it is never too late to start taking care of yourself. I was happy to have worked with Westview to bring this topic to the community.”
“The program offered a unique opportunity for participants to become empowered by the message that youthfulness is in reach for people of all ages, as long as you are open to keeping a positive outlook on maintaining good health,” said Westview spokesperson Laura Lee Crosetti.
“Dr. Botta spoke of the latest treatment approaches, healthy eating habits and the multiple physical opportunities to assist in leading a healthy lifestyle during the aging process. We look forward to continuing these important informative programs to assist our community in making healthy choices.” Westview is planning additional educational forums on a variety of topics including medication management, memory loss, pain management, heart health, diabetes, arthritis and others.
