Corn Maze
POMFRET --- The Pomfret Recreation Department's Corn Maze, "Mezmer Eyes," is open from noon to 6 p.m. through Oct. 30. Fright Nights are Oct. 29 and 30. The maze is near the town's recreation field off Rt. 97. Benefits the PCS 8th grade class.

Livestock
STORRS --- The UConn Department of animal Science UConn Block and Bridge Club will host the Little International Livestock Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UConn Horsebarn Hill Arena, rain or shine. All welcome. Free. 486-1088.
Vampire Series
WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Historical Society will present a Halloween Vampire Series. Tonight's Teen Movie Night, at 8 p.m. at the Palmer Hall, will include your favorite vampire couple from Folks, Wash. (the first in a series.) Rated PG 13. An adult must accompany children under the age of 13. Free, but donations welcome. Bring seat cushion.
Exam, Breakfast

Senior Art Show
DANIELSON --- The Senior Art Expo 2010 will be held at Harvard H. Ellis Regional Technical High School from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you would like to enter you art into the show, you must be 55 years of age or older, you can register by calling Betty Morin at 860-928-7459. Register by Oct. 25.
'Can' Candidates
PUTNAM --- Bring a non-perishable canned good or a monetary donation with you when you go to your Putnam polling places on election day. Donations will help keep the shelves stocked at Daily Bread to "can hunger" during these tough economic times.
Pomfret Seniors
POMFRET --- The Pomfret Seniors Association will have a brown bag lunch meeting at noon at the Pomfret Senior Center on Mashamoquet Road. All Pomfret seniors welcome.
Can Drive
WOODSTOCK --- The town will collect non-perishable food items at the polling area at the Woodstock Town Hall as part of a continuing effort to help low-income Woodstock residents with food, fuel, and other assistance programs. Voters are urged to bring along a bag of non-perishable food items or make a monetary donation toward fuel assistance prior to casting their vote. TEEG info will also be available. PUTNAM --- The Putnam Public Library will present local band Uncle Rhubarb at 2 p.m. in an event to benefit Daily Bread. Bring monetary or food donation as admission. Daily Bread needs: canned meat, soups and fruit, pasta, cereal, packaged side dishes and instant mashed potatoes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorant. The library will also be introducing both their new logo and Kelley Shaw Wade, creator of the logo.
