POMFRET – Two Pomfret School Seniors, Alyssa Brewer, of Pembroke, Bermuda, and Amanda Nichols, of Ledyard, were named National Merit Scholarship Commended Students.
Nichols has been an honor roll student throughout her career at Pomfret, is a leader of the campus GSA, a member of Cum Laude Society and captain of the dance team.
Brewer, a high honor roll student and Cum Laude member, has received accolades for her academic achievement throughout her career at the school. Most recently, she received the History III award, Spanish III award and the Brown University Sponsor Award, which is awarded to the junior who best combines excellence in spoken and written expression with outstanding overall academic achievement.
