The A team fought hard and played a very solid game but were undone by some non calls that had coach Cliff Renshaw receiving his first flag for unsportsmanlike conduct for disagreeing with the official.
Renshaw said that he felt he needed to stick up for his players but that “I was wrong to yell at the officials and should have handled myself in a more professional manner.”  “Our kids played their hearts out and left all they had on the field.”
Lead by the strong play of Paul Sivertsen on offense and strong defense by a host of Hawks ,the game was in doubt until the middle of the fourth quarter with the final being 28-6.
The B team lead by the hard running of Jacob Phaneuf  had a tough time falling to the Roadrunners 38-14. The players played hard all season and never gave up.
The B team is a very young team and they gained a load of football knowledge that will benefit them next year.
Although this was a tough season in the win column the Hawks played hard and learned a lot of football. The players gained experience that will benefit them in the next couple of years.
