Chilly Fund-raiser
Brave souls from Putnam Bank helped make this year’s annual Turkey Dip a hot success by enduring frigid temperatures in Hawaiian shirts, flip flops, and even swimwear to help support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Fourteen representatives from Putnam Bank participated, and of those, five actually plunged into icy cold lake water. Putnam Bank, the corporate sponsor for the event, donated $500 and served hot chocolate provided by Bill’s Bread and Breakfast in Putnam. “Taking a dip in the cold water to help raise awareness and funds for this important organization is the least we can do,” said Putnam Bank Chairman and CEO Tom Borner, who was among those who swam that day. “The MDA is a worldwide organization, but it helps people right here in our communities as well. This is a fun way to help let people in our communities know we care about them and their health.”  Courtesy photo.
