$4,000-plus raised
WOODSTOCK --- Members of the Muddy Brook Fire Department, Woodstock Volunteer Fire Association, and Bungay Fire Brigade raised $3,800.30 and collected over 16 boxes of food for low-income Woodstock residents as part of the “Woodstock Helping Woodstock” initiative.  Funds were collected during a “Boot Drive” in October. Food items were collected at the Woodstock Volunteer Fire Association and were given to Daily Bread.
The Election Day food and fuel drive garnered more than 20 heaping recycling bins (1,150 pounds) and that went to TEEG. $748.01 was raised to provide fuel assistance for Woodstock residents who apply for funds through TEEG. Information about Woodstock Helping Woodstock’s food and fuel drive can be found in the main lobby of the Woodstock Town Hall during business hours.  Contact the First Selectman’s office at 928-0208 x336 for more information.
