PUTNAM --- Rick Place, president of Putnam Ford Mercury, and his employees recently held their Annual “Christmas is for Kids” Party at United Services in Plainfield.
This is the 11th Annual Party hosted by Rick Place and the employees of Putnam Ford Mercury.
Each year the employees host the children of local human services organizations.
This year Putnam Ford Mercury hosted a Christmas party for clients of United Services’ Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program and other family oriented programs, including United Services’ Domestic Violence Program which serves the entire Windham County region.
The evening included snacks and home-baked cookies, Christmas carol sing-alongs, visits by special guests including Frosty the Snowman, the Cat in the Hat, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and a very special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus who provided presents for each of the children.
Over the last 11 years Rick Place and the employees of Putnam Ford Mercury have hosted hundreds of children and families for this very special holiday party.
