PUTNAM --- Eagle Scout, Dan Gaucher, was presented his Bronze and Gold Eagle Palms recently. Dan is a member of Venturing Crew 25 of Putnam. Dan is the Vice President of Program for Venturing Crew 25. Dan also holds a position of responsibility in the Order of the Arrow.
In order for a scout to earn the rank of Eagle he must earn a a minimum of 21 merit badges. The scouts trail does not end at the Rank of Eagle. He can earn an Eagle Palms by staying active in scouting, completion of additional merit badges, continuing to demonstrate the Scout Oath and Law. The scout must also continue to demonstate and develop leadership skills. The Bronze Palm represents 26 merit badges and 3 months of activity since earning Eagle Scout. The Gold Palm represnts 31 earned merit badges and an additional 3 months of activity. The Silver Palm represents 36 merit badges earned and 3 additional months of activity in his unit.
