Warren A. Ritchotte,

MERIDEN — Warren A. Ritchotte, 90, formerly of Glen Hills Road, husband of Helen (Kolawich) Ritchotte, died Feb. 15, 2011, at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam, after a brief illness.
Born May 18, 1920, in Meriden, he was the son of the late John B. and Marie (Mack) Ritchotte and had been a lifelong resident of Meriden.
He was a graduate of Meriden High School.
He retired from New Departure after more than 40 years of service and was a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corp.
He was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church.
Besides his wife of 69 years, he leaves two daughters, Rande Chmura (Fred) of Woodstock and Patricia O’Connor (John) of Livermore, Calif.; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Brian O’Connor of Livermore; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Borak and Beatrice Hannah, and one brother, William Ritchotte.
The funeral was Feb. 18 from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, Meriden, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Church.
Burial with military honors was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Harriet A. Chenette,

PUTNAM — Harriet A. (Fifield) Chenette, 81, of Sabin Street, formerly of Pineville Road in Ballouville, died Feb. 19, 2011.
She was the wife of Arthur O. Chenette. Born on Nov. 28, 1929, in E. Thompson, Harriet, a twin, was one of 17 children born to Harry and Lydia (Benson) Fifield.
The Fifields were well known for their six sets of twins, a world record displayed at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
Mrs. Chenette was a lens inspector for American Optical Company for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
She then volunteered for TCCA for 13 years at Westview Healthcare Center.
Harriet was a member of the E. Killingly Grange and the Happy Singers. She enjoyed playing cards, especially double pinochle, and doing word puzzles.
She loved to sing, listen to music, and engage in conversation.
In addition to her husband, she leaves seven children: Elaine Trudo of Thompson, Gary Chenette of Crestview, Fla., Bernard Chenette of Danielson, Larry Chenette of Putnam, Karen Chenette of Swanzey, N.H., Diana Haggerty of Killingly, and Kevin Chenette of Sterling; six siblings: Margaret Wetherbee of Thompson, Elizabeth Desrosiers of Port Charlotte, Fla., Paul Fifield of Manchester, N.H., Franklin Fifield of Homosassa, Fla., Eleanor Pepin of Putnam, and Kendall Fifield of Central Village; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Alan and an infant son Benjamin; a twin sister, Helen Fontaine, and siblings, Della Lewis, Claire Takessian, Charlotte LaPalme, Harry Fifield and David Fifield.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 24 in the Congregational Church, 175 Main St., Putnam. A reception will follow.
Burial will be in the spring.

Olga Sward,

N. GROSVENORDALE — Olga Sward, 88, of Thompson Hill Road died Feb. 15, 2011, in Day Kimball Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Herbert “Buster” Sward Sr. Born in 1922 in Victory Mills, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Katherina (Martis) Martis.
Mrs. Sward was a machine operator for American Optical in Southbridge for many years.
She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church and was a member of their Lutheran Church Women’s Group.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and baking.
She leaves her son, Herbert H. Sward Jr. (Lynne) of N. Grosvenordale; three grandchildren, Scott Sward and his partner Michael Leonard, of Portland, Org., Sandra Ebersohl of Aurora, Colo., and Kerri Mayo (Gordon) of Ballouville; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Courtney and Kaeden.
The Funeral was Feb. 19 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, N. Grosvenordale, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery later.

Jonathan Blaser,

POMFRET CENTER --- Jonathan G. Blaser, 28, of Wakefield died Feb. 11, 2011.
Born Oct. 18, 1982 in Boston, he was the son of Robert J. Blaser of Wakefield and Jean V. (Vaida) Blaser of Pomfret Center.
Jonathan was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School, Class of 2000.
He was also a graduate of Northeastern University (2005) and UMass Boston Graduate School of Education.
He had most recently worked at Integral Resources, Inc. of Cambridge. Jonathan was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church in Wakefield.
He was as avid reader and Boston Sports fan.
He also enjoyed music.
In addition to his parents he leaves two brothers, David A. Blaser of Boston and Adam P. Blaser of Cambridge; his grandfather Robert A. Blaser of Methuen.
AFfuneral Service was held at the First Parish Congregational Church.
