Art Exhibit
POMFRET --- The Northeastern CT Art Guild is sponsoring a members' art exhibit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Sept. 23 at the Connecticut Audubon Society of Pomfret on Day Road. All welcome.

Rummage Sale
WOODSTOCK --- The Women’s Fellowship of the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ of Woodstock, on Rt. 169, will sponsor a Fall Rummage & White Elephant Sale from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 and from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 22 at the church. The Junior Youth Fellowship will sponsor a Bake Sale Friday afternoon. Saturday, only clothing items will be part of the Bag Sale. 923-2887.

Coast Guard Band
POMFRET --- The 300th anniversary of the town of Pomfret will feature a free U.S. Coast Guard Dixieland Jazz Band concert at 3 p.m. at Hyde School Auditorium. Free, but bring a packaged food item to donate to a local food bank. Tickets at Town Hall.
Swedish Meatballs
N. GROSVENORDALE --- The Emanuel Lutheran Church on Main Street will present a Swedish Meatball Supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the church. $10 for adults; $5 for kids under 12. Family style. Takeout available.
Invitational
PUTNAM --- The 13th Annual Clipper Invitational Marching Band Festival fund-raiser will be held at 6 p.m. at the St. Marie Greenhalgh Sports Complex. Gates open at 5. Admission is $8; free for kids age 10 and younger. Rain or shine.
Positively Pomfret Day
POMFRET --- Celebrate Pomfret’s 300 Birthday at Positively Pomfret Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Park on Hampton Road. Rain location is the Pomfret School Fieldhouse building. Events include huge inflatables (ride all day), the Cash Cube, live music with the Yankee Dogs, food and crafts, games, informational booths, large tag sale and entertainment. Free parking and admission. Sign up for the men’s “Most Outstanding Facial Hair” Contest or the Women’s Cast Iron Pan Throwing Contest. Turkey Dinner

Fund-raiser Car Wash
