PUTNAM --- The 11th annual Holiday Dazzle Light Parade grows better and better each year, according to organizer Gary Osbrey.
The final number of entries this year came in at 140 and Osbrey said, "I continue to be impressed with the level of the entries and the creativity involved.  Each float represents hours of work and I am grateful for the enthusiasm of the participants."
He added he was also impressed with Pomfret's 300 celebration committee "for their extraordinary presentation in the parade. They were the grand marshal this year and they really embraced the parade with their floats, cars and marchers.
He estimated there were 20,000 spectators. The weather, of course, was picture perfect, for the 1.5-mile parade that starts on Grove Street and wends through downtown, ending at the Owen Tarr Sports Complex.
Osbrey added the committee is already planning next year's parade.
