Biggest loser
PUTNAM — In January Mike Bogdanski and Kristin Duethorn, co-owners of Midtown Fitness Center of Putnam, will conduct Northeast Connecticut’s Biggest Loser program.  Entrants will pay $20 to enter the weight loss contest.  Half of the entry fee will be divided between the winners and the other half will be donated to two local charities – TEEG of Thompson and Daily Bread of Putnam.
The contest will recognize one man and one woman who can lose the greatest percentage of weight.  They will win prizes provided by local sponsors.
Participants will register between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 8. An optional weekly weigh is recommended with the final weigh out on March 8. Midtown is also looking to provide a healthy competition between companies, clubs or local business leaders.
The male and female biggest losers will split cash prizes and gift cards from
Steve Bousquet’s Appliance and TV, Gerardi Insurance, 85 Main St., Steve and Marjolaine Townsend, Putnam Ford, Jessica Tuesday’s and Wonderland Comics.
