PUTNAM --- Award-winning poet Brad Davis will do a reading of his new collection  of poems, On the Way to Putnam: New, Selected, & Early Poems, at 1 p.m. at the Putnam Public Library . Free and Davis’ new book will be available for purchase and signing at the reading.

Memorial Day Parade
PUTNAM --- The Putnam Memorial Day Parade will start off at 10 a.m. from Grove Street. Line up on Grove Street starts at 9 a.m.

POMFRET --- The Town of Pomfret will be holding its annual Memorial Day Parade on starting at 10 a.m. May 27. It kicks off at the Pomfret Congregational Church and proceeds down Pomfret Street/Route 44 to the Town Green where a short ceremony will take place.

WOODSTOCK --- The Three C’s, presents Theatreworks production of “Cat Kid Comic Club….the Musical” at 10 a.m. at the Loos Center for the Arts. $4 pp for groups of 10 or more. www.theThreeCs.org. Relay For Life

Benefit Concert
POMFRET ---  A benefit concert in honor of the late Carol Davidge will be held at the Vanilla Bean Café.  Local talent Sally Rogers will perform at 7 p.m. Admission is a suggested donation of $25, 100 percent of which will be donated to the “Make Your Mark” scholarship.

EAST WOODSTOCK --- The East Woodstock Congregational Church will present its Arts and Crafts Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at the church. Lunch available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Particle Accelerator
PUTNAM --- Particle Accelerator, a free, all-day music festival, features music of all genres and for all ages will be held from noon to 8 p.m. in Rotary park. In its 18th year, Particle is dedicated to the memory of the legendary Jack Young Jr. and to raising awareness for suicide and depression and local resources available to help.
