PUTNAM — After receiving information about suspicious activity near Owen Tarr Park the Putnam Police Department arrested an Ashford man for the second time in as many weeks.
March 12 Michael Hiller, 34, of Ashford was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested March 9 and charged with possession of Fentanyl (124 bags).
March 12 a concerned citizen told police Hiller was in a black-colored Dodge Durango and was selling narcotics in the Owen Tarr Park area.
Putnam Police Department and Connecticut State Police Quality of Life Task Force watched the black Dodge Durango leave the area of Providence Street and stopped the car after it veered over the fog line and into the shoulder of the roadway.
Police said they found 3 grams of crack cocaine and 13 bags of fentanyl. K-9 Ambrie of the Connecticut State Police Quality of Life Task Force found additional crack cocaine in the car.
