DAYVILLE — Jodi Holton has been named employee of the month for August at Westview Health Care Center. She is a second shift Supervisor and has been employed at Westview since May 2005.
As the second shift Nursing supervisor, she is responsible for the monitoring and organizing of the nursing staff and procedures at the facility. Her overall responsibilities include assuring that the facility is adhering to the policies, guidelines and protocols necessary to meet the organization’s standards.
“Jodi has been a long-standing and committed employee of Westview,” stated Director of Nursing Cindy Olsen. “Effective communication skills are some of the most important skills that a person needs in order to succeed in the workplace. Among her many strengths, Jodi possesses communication skills that have contributed to the success of our organization and have brought our residents, patients and family members peace of mind.”
Holton acquired her nursing license in 1968 as a Licensed Practical Nurse and went back to school in 1969 and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1971 from Morrisville State College, formerly the State University of New York. She began her career in emergency and intensive care and then transitioned to long term care in 1972 and will be retiring at the end of August. She is a resident of Danielson.
