Town of Pomfret

The Town of Pomfret revised its “Driveway Apron Ordinance” (originally adopted at Special Town Meeting held November 17, 1997, Effective Date: December 6, 1997) at Special Town Meeting held October 7, 2014. The revision to the “Driveway Apron Ordinance” shall become effective October 30, 2014 or fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper having a general circulation in the Town of Pomfret.

In Summary:  Section 3, Item 3, was revision to read “No Driveway Apron Construction Permit will be issued until a thirty-five hundred dollar ($3500.00) driveway surety bond or cash deposit for each driveway has been received by the Board of Selectmen naming the Town of Pomfret as the insured. The purpose of the revision was to change the surety bond amount from $2,000.00 to $3,500.00.

approved with conditions
