PUTNAM — To help everyone get in the holiday spirit, The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse is presenting the perennial favorite A Christmas Carol.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 7, 14 and 21. Tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for seniors and students.
The Bradley Playhouse is located at 30 Front Street (Route 44) in Putnam, CT. All seats are reserved. Reservations may be made with a major credit card online at www.thebradleyplayhouse.org or by calling 860-928-7887.
As this beloved story reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas, the Bradley cast and crew ask that theater goers remember those less fortunate. Once again, the theater is serving as a collection site for gifts to those who could use a little help. The lobby will be decorated with a Mitten Tree where people can hang mittens, gloves, hats and scarves which will be donated to the Putnam Family Resource Center. People of all ages are in need of some warmth. In addition, non- perishable food items will be collected and donated to Daily Bread.
In order to say thank you and perhaps encourage donations, everyone who brings a warm accessory or food will be entered in a drawing to win a copy of the beautiful book, The Annotated Christmas Carol. Included in the book are the original 1843 text of A Christmas Carol; an illuminating introduction about the writing, publication and reception of the story; countless annotations, drawing on primary sources and previously unknown material; and over one hundred illustrations.
